19 Apr A Romantically Modern Styled Shoot
The first styled shoot we ever participated in was at Forum Conference and Events Center and it set the bar high. Since that experience, I’ve grown to love styled shoots. It brings together amazing vendors who you get to build relationships with, as well as provides creative leeway to everyone involved. It’s the perfect excuse to create designs I’ve been dying to try out!
The shoot with Forum was split into two separate visions- one romantic and one modern. The romantic side of the shoot included airy lighting, blush and ivory, rose gold accents and abundance of florals.
We designed the invitation suite with a mix between a calligraphy and serif font. The calligraphy was used to accent the names and key phrases. Once we printed the wording onto cotton paper we tore the edges by hand to create a deckled edge. The icing on the cake was the custom monogram way seal we stamped by hand on the invitation, menu and envelope. We tried to think out of the box for all our details, including the place cards, which we used dried magnolia leaves for and hand wrote the names on them.
On the other end, the modern side of the shoot included clean lines, white furniture and a ton of sparkle for an non-traditional bride.
We designed the invitation suite with modern, playful wording and printed them on a coated, bright white paper. The suite was abundant in sparkle including a loose glitter strip at the top of the invitation, a glitter belly band and glitter envelope liner. The invitation was pulled together with a beautiful brooch to add in further sparkle and a touch of glam to wow guests. The menu and place cards also included a loose glitter strip we created by hand. We used a block paper mache number that we sprayed glitter onto to create a sparkly, modern table number. The cake was topped off with a laser cut glitter Mr. & Mrs.
All of the designs for this styled shoot were created by hand with our love.
