There are numerous components to planning a wedding, and making the wedding stationery portion be stress-free is one of my top priorities. Below you will find a checklist for wedding stationery to make sure you do not miss asking about any particular design, as well as a timeline for each stationery piece.

Pre-Wedding
- Save the Dates
- Thank You Cards (For your wedding shower)
Invitation Suite

- Reception Card (If your reception is at a separate venue from your ceremony)
Wedding Day

Timeline
Save the Dates
- Hire your wedding stationer as soon as you have your wedding date & venue
- Mail out as soon as possible, with a minimum of 8 months prior to your wedding day for a local wedding and 10 months prior for a destination wedding
Invitations
- Hire your wedding stationer 6+ months before your wedding day
- Mail out 10 weeks before your local wedding if you sent a Save the Date, or 16 weeks if you did not
- Mail out 5 months before your destination wedding if you sent a Save the Date, or 8 months if not
Response Date
- Always ask your caterer and venue when they need a final headcount by
- I recommend a response date of 1 month before a local wedding, or 6 weeks before a destination wedding
Day-of Stationery
- Hire your wedding stationer 4+ months before your wedding day
- Begin designing 2 months before your local wedding, or 3 months before your destination wedding
- Have all stationery pieces in hand 2 weeks before a local wedding, or 1 month before a destination wedding
- There are pieces that will not be able to be designed until you have your final headcount, but I like to have your designs created and ready to input your guests names
